During my second pregnancy around my 7th-8th month I had the same, but they were sharp cramps that took several seconds to go away. It lasted a week, in this time I had gone to the doctors and they tested for an infection, when nothing showed up they did a kidney Ultrasound looking for kidney stones (common actaully in pregnancy due to the volume of food your body is processing!) But nothing showed either. For a week it lasted, and than went away all while I was in and out of the doctors office to be monitored. I may have passed the stone, and or it may have just been a false one at that. Either way, your kidneys, and every other organ in your body is working double time during these 9 months, getting a urine infection is common, so any signs, cramping, different smelling urnie, different color, or if there's even pain. Doctors say a sign of it is also feeling like you have to go and when you try you really don't have too, but a few minutes later you feel the same way again. So any and all new things that your feeling, doesn't matter if you think it's silly or not write it down and bring it up with your doctor. If you think it's serious call the office and ask to talk to a doctor and or nurse, they may just have you come in to get checked.
Hope you and baby are alright, congrats and take care during these long months!

Yeah when I was pregnant I had 3 UTI's. They were all taken care of and my son was healthy...but the doctor did NOT tell me all the damage a UTI can cause! I read about it in my pregnancy book (Your Pregnancy Week by Week)!

I'm glad it was caught in time and good on you to inform others! Take care of yourself, and your baby! PS Avoid bubble baths and scented soaps...they are a large cause of bladder infections

I'm glad to see someone passing on useful information. Thanks. Most doctors won't tell you anything if you don't ask and if you do ask, they may still keep the information from you.
