i dont have a wireless network and i've just got a laptop. i've been told that the usb adaptors ( the ones that are like bluetooth usb's) work as i will be using it at work mostly, so i dont really want to get a wireless router at home too.

My son put a wireless router on his PC at home and i got a USB adaptor, but because of the interference of where we live it would not always work on my PC, just make sure that you will not get a lot of interference where you work, as it did get annoying when it kept on cutting out.
If i did not have any interference it would of been perfect.

If your laptop already has wireless built into it and the works network is wireless then you shouldn't need an adaptor for work.

Just make sure the wireless capability is enabled and the laptop should do the rest - although you may need to know the settings of your works network.

However if your works network isn't woreless you will need to ask then to provide you with a network cable you can use.

An adaptor for home use is pointless is you don't have a wireless router as all the adaptor does is pick up the signal from the router.

I bought a wireless router and USB adaptor from e-bay for about 40 quid. The router has space to connect four computers to it through wires (like normal) and you can also connect wirelessly through the usb. It all works fine without any loss of my internet speed

If your laptop already has a wireless card you don’t need a USB adaptor. Your work will need to have a wireless network set up for you to connect to, if they don’t you will just have to buy a router.

in the experience that your workstation already has instantaneous equipped into it and the works community is instantaneous then you definately shouldn't want an adaptor for artwork. basically make specific the instantaneous skill is enabled and the workstation could desire to do something - regardless of the certainty which you'll be able to could desire to renowned the settings of your works community. besides the incontrovertible fact that in the time of the experience that your works community isn't woreless you will could desire to ask then to provide you a community cable you need to use. An adaptor for abode use is pointless is you haven't any longer have been given a instantaneous router as all the adaptor does is %. up the sign from the router.

There's no reason to get a USB adapter if your laptop has built-in wireless card. The wireless USB adapters are for machines that don't already have a wireless card.

What ya mean by "work". They should all work on any network aslong as you have correctly set up the setting on your pc (such as security wep etc.)
