Yes, I like sewing very much, especially when I've got time and there is something fun that I want to make. I've never taken a sewing class in my life, I just learned a little bit from my mom & then I picked the rest up on my own, it's been alot of trial & error, but that's what makes it all so fun & exciting for me. I like sewing quilts & giviing them away as gifts to my immediate family members. I've also been sewing patches on a blue jean jacket, that represents everywhere my husband & I have been to visit over the last couple of years and I'm working on my self a quilt & sewing patches on it as well, again representing the places we've been & what we've seen; however, my quilt will have alot more patches, then his jacket, cause I've got plenty more room to add more patches. Good Luck with your sewing classes & have fun!

I can sew on a button, but that's about it. I think I was traumatized in 8th grade Home-Ec class when I saw a girl get a needle run through her finger by a sewing machine. Watch your fingers when you use a sewing machine!!! ; - )

i'd really like to figure out how to follow clothing patterns, but i haven't had the time. i'm a quilter mostly. i love to do it, but again, i lack the time to do it a lot. having an 18 month old and a husband gone on deployment makes it difficult to make time to do things like that.
but it is certainly something i enjoy doing. i took my first quilting class at 9 (then burned up my mom's viking and wasn't allowed on it and was afraid to use my mom's machine again). i picked it up again about 4 years ago when i requested a sewing machine for my bday. i love to make baby quilts and lap quilts the most because they are a lot quicker and you see results faster than on a large scale quilt.

Yes it is alright I have made a queen size quilt for the bed. But my favorite hobby is crocheting. You should give it a try.
