They are yummy when fresh. The problem is they are never fresh. I think the shelf-life on a swedish fish is 68 years. This is because they were originally designed as a sweet snack for military troops to eat in the field, and had to last for years in storage in case peace ever broke out. They used to taste just like twizzlers because they were made in the same factory from the same ingredients. The factory was owned by two brothers named Lars and Humpty, who unfortunately never got along. One day, they got into a terrible argument over which way the twizzler should be twisted. Lars was adamant that clockwise was the right way to twist them, as that was the way his pet monkey liked to spin about, while Humpty was dead set on counterclockwise, that being the same way his wife's beard twisted. Well, it was only a matter of time until Lars stormed out, vowing to steal the twizzler formula and start his own company. Unfortunately, the copy of the formula he took had the last word smeared. The word looked like "fi..", so Lars decided the word was fish, and ever since that day swedish fish have contained fish as the last ingredient. (What Lars didn't know was that the last word written on the formula was simply "finished". What was the question again>? Now Swedish girls, on the other hand, are much more tasty.
