the "offensive" & when Bush's offensive is over they just come back & take over there old stomping grounds?

The Viet Cong invented this tactic that was so effective against the US military in Vietnam. I wonder if Bush has ever read about that?

I wonder if Bush or his cronies ever read anything about war tactics period. I'm still reeling from the fact that we are JUST NOW sealing the borders to Iraq!? What the....! I'm no war expert, but that just seems like common sense to me.

I would hope that anyone who accepts the falsehoods that America causes terrorism will come to understand that an Islamic Fascist is not the same as your neighbor or someone else you may disagree with.

Even though the fascist don't wear uniforms or act in any way like a legitimate army does not mean that they do no operate with objectives and do everything they can to improve their methods to achieve them.

The "Objectives" do not end at the borders of Iraq (or Afghanistan, Syria, Iran). You will find a dearth of reporting in our media as to what the objectives really are. Some of us see the objectives and believe them to be so obvious that everyone must see them also, and therefore don't "campaign" to inform people as to what they are. Some of us think that the objectives are along the lines of being free to practice a religion without the US interfering, as freedom of religion is one of our sacred rights isn't it? And they wonder why anyone would sacrifice such costs to oppose them.

I believe that the Islamic Terrorist have one overriding objective and they are true "believers" of this objective. It is "Total world domination of their theocractic system of governement". The 9/11 attack was just a milestone along the way. Creating social, political and civil unrest in a country is also just a milestone along the way.

This sort of fanatism cannot be reasoned with as they are really "true believers" and consider that their fascist views of religion and governement are the "will of god".

So how does one (or a country) resist the onslaught of these fascists?

Since the preferred method of projecting their control is through the use of terrorism, one can only resist through the means of military resistance to their goals. And this situation has created a "war" the likes of which the world has never seen.

If we fail to see this thing through, then the Islamic Fascists have won a huge battle and reached a major milestone in the accomplishment of their overall objective. However, if we can persist long enough that the Iraqi people can themselves stand up to the fascists, then we have an ally in the war and together we can continue our resistance to their world domination desires.

Grow tired of the conflict if you will. Disagree with how the war is being conducted in Iraq if you desire. But don't ever delude yourself into believing that whether we stay or leave that the goal of the fascists will change. Just the targets.

That's the whole purpose fo the surge. Get more patrolling troops on the ground to take care of that exact thing.

We did learn some strategies from Viet Nam that we are using, today. By the time the bad guys resurface, the regular Iraqi people won't want them around.

I think our being there increased the radical muslim terrorist presense, it's us and our way of life they want to fight. I just read "The Looming Tower' , and picked up the idea that Osama feels if he attacked us, and we came to his area to retaliate, Allah would insure their victory. I think our efforts in Iraq were misdirected as a response to 9-11, so it's not al Qauda 's old stomping ground. ( Saddam would not put up with any other power in his country, and Osamas group considered him an infideI) I think that most of Iraqies are not for the ones who use terrorist tactics. As they get their government and defences together we can support their efforts, but it will ultimately be up to them.

come to think of it, why not use tactic of not attacking another country to prevent the use of such tactic and stop inventing another tactic in order to stop that tactic? wow, that is another tactic.
