I am a male in the process of applying for the U.S citizenship. There is an option to change the name in the citizenship application and I plan to use this to change my name.
Once it is approved, I understand that the court will grant me the required legal papers with the new name.

The question is, what is the procedure to change my name in the title of my house and tile of my car?

You need to get an attorney to do a deed from you to you. I know that sounds crazy, but you just need to deed the property from your old name into your new name. It will probably read something like "John Doe, f/k/a John Smith, Grantor, to John Doe, Grantee." It's fairly simple and an attorney wouldn't charge you much to do it since there is no title search or anything involved.

Be careful with this, or you could have some problems in the future. You need to have a document that lists both names so you can prove you're the same person. And it would be a good idea to list your other name on important documents as AKA (also known as) for at least a few years.

All you have to do is fill out a change of name form, no lawyer needed, with the approriate deed people.
