Is 512 kbps uplink enough to host a website to serve 10000 page hits per day?

I am planning to host my website on my server at home. It is partly a business site with forums and wiki. I have a 512 kbps uplink internet connection. I want to make sure that it will be sufficient to serve on an average 10000 page hits per day.

Not even close. you will need at the very least a 6 Mb/s connection for any kind of traffic like that.
