Daddy is so gung-ho about this war. Other parents have children there, why does he not ask his daughters to enlist and serve? Maybe he expects others to bleed and die for his recklessness while his own are safe at home.

Britain's military force IS a voluntary service. It's simply a very long line of tradition that the men in line for the throne fulfill their duty to learn how to lead their country in times of war, from kings on horseback dodging arrows, to Prince Harry in Iraq. It's the same reason Prince Andrew went into the Navy. It's tradition and expected of the men in the Royal Family, that they know what it's like to serve with their soldiers.

As for the Bush twins, I'm quite sure Daddy is more than happy to keep them out of any harm's way whenever his influence and his money can, and I can't imagine them wanting to risk their cushy lives. It is, however, their choice to enlist or not. As for it being too dangerous for them to be there, I point out the fallacy in that logic as applied to Prince Harry. There won't be a troop he meets that won't know he's possibly the future ruler of a country. That would make him an equal target. Not to mention, I'd be willing to bet that when it comes to "national security", Harry's a bit more educated about his future duty and country than the Bush twins are.

I thought you can choose whether or not you want to be in the military. Is there a draft or something? After college I plan on enlisting. Im not sure about the legitimacy of the war, but I want to serve my country regardless. What about you? Do you want to serve your own country?

all the bush hater and the dummies about governing take note.
what you are then saying.
our leaders can't vote to send troops in war ,if they don't have children in the service.
you can't vote on women's issue unless your a female.
you can't vote on minority issues unless you are a minority.
you can't vote on immigration issues unless your an illegal
you get the drift.
if you don't like the way the voted . vote them out.

Because ending the chain of royalty in England would be doing the world a favor. Not so with attractive, intelligent young women. YBIC

The United States of America has an ALL-voluntary military.
- George W. Bush is the most powerful man in the world. To have his children there would be a threat to national security.
-They would have a huge target on their back
-Our brave soldiers would be in great danger
-Our soldiers would be too busy protecting them than to do their jobs.

I am so sick of people saying that our President's daughters need to fight in Iraq. I really didn't think people were that ignorant

Do you do everything that your daddy tells you? Are you in the same line of work as he is? Your logic (or lack thereof) astounds me!
