because they are belligerent.. mouthy and have a self absorption complex.. FAR over rated..

I am of mixed races, one of which is black, but am light skinned so I just look Latin. If I am walking with a black man in the mall, I see other black women looking at me like I shouldn't be with him, but black women are mean to each other, too. Not all black women are like this, but the few who are, are loud enough to draw attention and give lasting impression on those who witness their acts. There are loud and obnoxious people in every race, but I think that media portrayal of African American women makes them as a whole, seem more intimidating to people who have little or no experience with black people.

99.9% of people already have their minds made up about how supposedly rude black women are from what they see on TV or the 1 black women they may have encountered in real life. So, when I go into a situation with these 99.9% I'm already treated differently before I even open my mouth. Its amazing how rude someone can think you are before you've even said anything! I'm very confident and will not take BS from anyone. If folks take that as being rude without taking the time to get to know me, I don't care if they think I'm rude or not!

Not intimidating at all, depending on the person. I have noticed that some of them do come off as rude, as though they think they're better than they really are. It looks more like an inferiority complex than it does intimidation in those cases, and I just shrug them off.

Black men find African American women intimidating. With a white woman, if you get caught cheating all you have to do is say some fake hollywood sh!t llike "You had me at hello" or "how do I quit you" and they bust into tears and you make up and evrything is forgiven.
If a black woman finds out you cheated on her, your asss better find a motel room to sleep at that night or make sure all the butcher knives are locked away.

My experience is that while they are trying to intimidate they come off as rude. And that includes any race. I used to let people intimidate me but not anymore.

i do no longer understand why. i'm a notably intense-high quality guy or woman. in particular, some stereotypes are that we are consistently bossy and recommend. the only those that have faith that are people who've under no circumstances incredibly met a black lady. yet thier incorrect. Have a intense-high quality day!!

Im black and I don't think people find me intimidating and they shouldn't. Not all black women are loud and rude! I think SOME people just expect black women to be rude and aggressive, which an stupid assumption!!!

I met one once. She was the guardhouse leader at a US Airbase in the UK. She scared the crap out of me. Mind you, she was about 6', 18 stones and carrying a machine gun.
