My husband and I have been narried for 4 years. We have a large family. He had 3 kids when we married, i had 2 and then we had one together. there are still 4 kids at home now. He works away from home and is driving every day. he leaves the house at 4 a.m. and doesnt return until 8 p.m. Needless to say, we get very little time together. We never had a honeymoon, either, so we thought it was time for us to get away for a weekend. We would like to go one of the last weekends in march. We both enjoy fishing, and outdoors, but want to do something different for our trip. something relaxing. We have about 600 bucks saved to go on a weekend. We live in southeast Ga. He's asked me to plan this trip, lucky me! So I post this question to get some ideas on what to do to get us out of here for a few days. Thanks for any ideas you have.

St. Augustine, hands down!!
If you like really outdoorsy stuff why not camp @ Anastacia State Park, it's at the beach.
If not, the B&Bs are really quaint and the town is romantic as hell, they have buggy rides at night and outdoor restaurants/ lounges. It's a great place to walk around, very cool shops and the Fort is quite interesting; the oldest fort in the country in the oldest town in the country. I love it there.
Check it out. ;-)

I would book a beautiful Bed and Breakfast place; meals included; in a beautiful mountain area in Georgia. There you would be pampered by your hosts; meals all prepared for you and during the day you can do some sightseeing; shop, and then maybe take a lovely hike in the woods; or do some fishing together. In the evening you can retire to your beautiful room; shower, put on a negligee; pop in a romantic video movie; sit together and snuggle. Romance will follow naturally.

I am not familiar with your area or whats available, but I'd say look for a cabin rental on a lake with a hot tub etc.....Peace and quiet and alone time for you and him plus a lake to fish if you get the urge. My wife and I did this last year in Hocking Hills Ohio, IT was everything we could have hoped for...I have 4 and she has 3 from previous marriages...The alone time is Mega Important.

600 dollars? That is not much to go on. I would suggest getting a nice hotel room for the night...stock it with champagne, rose petals, candles, chocolate covered strawberries, bubble bath, some romantic music, get yourself some lingerie...bring a video camera. LOL

Get the hotel room, set it all up, go out for a romantic dinner, take him back to the hotel with everything ready to go. It would be cute. :)

There are also beautiful beaches in nearby Missisipi and Florida.
