My mum got some as a gift. they are in a pot, but are wilting dreadfully. Should we save the bulbs or what? I know some tulips can sustain themselves in semi-cold weather......help please

Tulips should be planted in any month with an R in the name (don't ask why, I didn't make the guideline). You need to dig a hole slightly wider than the bulb, and loosen the dirt to about 7-8 inches deep. The bulbs should be planted pointed-side up and about 6" deep. They should be planted about 12" apart.
