no woman has periods while pregnant. that's just hearsay. SOme, however, do have spotting and/or implantation bleeding during pregnancy so if your periods have been very lite or different that usual take a test. if not i'd say visit your doc, something must be up and s/he is the best at determining what.

I had periods normally for the first 3 months of my pregnauncy with my last child. I had no clue I was even pregnaunt. When I finally figured out that I was and saw the Dr was I surprised to find out I was 4 1/2 months pregnaunt. Take the test and be sure!

Irritable Bowel Syndrome could be the cause, I experienced my stomach growing larger and my meals would make me nausea, I had to wear a size bigger or even 2 sizes bigger, I also experienced heartburn, which actually acid reflux so i had 2 things going on at the same time.I take zelnorm and nexium and I have experienced great relief and my stomach has went back to normal.

for everyone that thinks your preg, your proally not becasue you get heart butn in the last 2 trimesters becasue the baby is getting so big adn smashing you stomach causing the gasses to rise back up again. now i wouldnt say its not heartburn but it could be acid reflux disease. its common and treatable, lots of babies (weak stomaches) adn older people get it (around the age of 40). its common. my father has the exact same problem. tums dont help either. you are doing the right thing by going to the doc but i dont think there is too much you can do untill you get a perscription. my dad says it feels like his stomach is "sour". he lives off rolaids. he eats fruits, and veggies, not cooked, and only the freshest bread. he says it helps ot toast it. no butter though. dont drink milk, dont eat soup. i know soup sounds like the right thing to eat but it makes it worse. try rice too.
i hope it gets better for you!!

Just because you had your period doesn't mean your not pregg. But you could have an ulcer or something of that nature. Try to stick with foods that are real basic until your doc appt. like chicken broth, dry toast, crackers and the such.

Take a pregnancy test anyway. Some women have periods even while pregnant. When you do go to the Dr, ask them to check your thyroid also.

it could be anything, it could be that your galbladder isn't functioning right, it could be that you're fighting off an infection like a cold or the flu, or it could be acid reflux... check it out with the doctor and they'll let you know where to go from there. good luck
