If you sit around on your butt, yes. If you are active and stay busy, no. Age is a state of mind.

PS I'll be 40 this year and I'm testing for my 3rd degree black belt this fall. Think I'm old?

The question is "do YOU think you're old? You're only as old as you feel. Who cares what everyone one else thinks. I am 28 and dance with a bunch of dancers who are mostly 6-8 years younger than me. I don't let it bother me and they love it that there is someone older there still doing what they love. It makes them realize that you don't have to give up doing what you love just because you grow older. Another girl in the dance group is your age and she can out-dance most of us! She is so full of energy and finess. She never lets her age hold her down. I try to think of her as a good example for us all. Life is short - don't let something so trivial like your age bother you. Do what you like and be happy - as long as you're not hurting anyone. That's how you stay young. ;)

Your only as old as you feel.

If you asked me 10 years ago I would've said 37 is old...but I'm 25 now and 37 doesn't seem that bad ;)

As someone else said- you're only as old as you feel. I've never even met you, let alone felt you, so I wouldn't know.

Seriously though, 37 is not old. You have plenty of life left, so make the most out of it!

At 36+ you are considered still young. Be figure conscious in the right sense by taking care of your diet and do physical exercise as well.

I am 36. I only feel old when I get out of bed (like a bag of wrenches). After that I'm good.

Age is just a number now. People are dong more things for longer, working for longer and enjoying life.
The question should be, do you feel old? If the answer is yes, then only you can do something to change that.
We only have one life. Live it to the full.

I'm 30, no you're not old just getting old like the rest of us, if you think of yourself as two 18 and a half year olds rolled into one it makes me feel better

it depends on the way you look age is just a number, i know this may be unnessary to your question, but an important factor to think about is looking after yourself , so you can slow down the anti ageing process, after all passing 35 is the time to start thinking about the next stage in your life,, but me saying that doesnt make you old, you just have to preserve yourself as this is the age things start to turn old, you wouldnt be asking this question if you didnt think you were concerned about age. i wish you best of luck and god bless
