My dishwasher usually gets the dishes clean, but leaves some plates looking nasty. And whenever I put drinking glasses in, they are always covered in grime and small particles. I rinse the dishes first, so thats not the prolem. Is there any way of cleaning your dishwasher and getting rid of any left behind particles?

Hi,
This happened to me as well. It turned out to be the filter in the bottom of the machine. It was stopped up with items that could not go through the filter. If you cannot take off the lower arm and get to that filter to clean it out, then you will need to call a repairman. Unless you degunk that thing, you cannot solve your problem. As it is, your dishes are not clean enough to eat from. Incidentally, I think they call this the drain filter. You can also look at the arms that turn while the machine operates. Many times those little holes get plugged up. This is not going to be the major problem, but is a contributing factor. Good luck.

I had an analogous issue to this, and it took me a while to artwork out the undertaking. I actually have a rack to hold plates, cups, etc. the place I placed the washed products and enable them to empty. over the years a number of the water that drained off pooled up on the draining board and became stagnent. So I gave the draing board an extremely sturdy sparkling and now the scent has long gone away thoroughly.

Run the dishwasher while it's empty with 2 cups of vinegar. That should clean it out.

Those small sandy looking particles mean your filter needs to be cleaned.
