I was trying to save data in CD or DVD,?

Then, small window appeared, it said, "You do not have permission to save in this directory. See the administrator to obtain permission." I couldn't save it.
Please, please someone help me.
What should I do?
I add new Sony DVD-RW, AW-Q170A, and set up software didn't come with it. I'm using Compaq Presario, Window XP Home edition.Sp 2.

Do you have more than one optical drive? Make sure that the jumper is set to the "Master" position on the new drive. If you have more than one optical drive, make sure that they are set up in a "Slave", "Master" jumper configuration.
