Actually college in the UK is more like highschool in the US.
Anyway, I have Social Anxiety Disorder, and can't be bothered with it anymore. I am studying only Music, but I rarely learn anything. The course will probably not be that useful for anything anyways, and I'm like 3 quaters through the 2 years there. The worst thing is the anxiety though.

What do ya think? should I quit? place your votes :p

It isn't costing me anything, the Goverment pays for it...as I said College over here is like Highschool in the US.

If I quit I'm not going to go back at a later time.

Keep in mind that Music is different than most other careers out there. You don't necessarily need education for Music, and many times college/school education is superfluous when it comes to being a Musician and performer.

No, I think you should just try to keep going. But if you really are not up for it, then go ahead and quit.

Stick it out and finish. It's tough to go back and try to pick up where you left off. There's no telling when something you think is useless now will suddenly be worth the effort. Get help for the anxiety disorder - it can be treated, and you'll feel a lot better for it.

hey I've got a "anxiety disorder too. But I do it like this. I see the big picture, and then i ignore everything, except the goal. I get through it. Your "anxiety disorder is nothing compared to your dreams. Basic and easy, control your mind. You will win.

don't quit college because of that, face it head on or you wil regret it for the rest of your life, might i suggest the following: Start jogging or doing some type of exercise (it has been proven that it improves self-esteem), go shopping for new clothes (nothing like new clothes to make you feel fresh and new), if its bad to the point where you can't attend classes then i would advise you to just let this semester go and seek a mild therapy to learn to overcome your fears and return the next semester.

I don't think you should quit school. Because everyone needs a higher level of education, But then again college isnt for everyone. Don't go by what we say. Be your own person.

Bill Gates quit college

Steve Jobs quit college

If you have a plan, then go for it. If you are quitting with nothing to turn to or do, plan a course of action first. Then do what you think is best.

Get a job! You are not going to get a degree by taking ONLY music classes.
