The economy isn't really all that great right now. A lot of the tax breaks and the likewise are only benefitting the people that don't need benefits to begin with. If you look over time, the corporation owners have been steadily earning more and more money as compared to the rate of inflation, whereas the middle and lower classes have pretty much stayed the same all along. The gap between the ultra-rich and the normal person is ever widening. Also how is the economy doing great when we have a HUGE trade deficit right now, and people are getting laid off of their jobs so their manufacturing job can be sent over to China to be done for a mere fraction of what it cost here. That means that even more money is flowing into the hands of the business owner, while the regular Americans are getting shafted. Also, a lot of the business generated for American companies is a result of this Iraqi war and is fueling military and construction companies, which would be decieving. While this war is going on, those companies are going to boom, and once it's over, its just going to go back down again. Our economy is only really going to get better when we stop relying on the war to fuel business boom and we work on having actual goods and services to export so that we can begin to work on our horrible trade deficit

No it just seems that your uncle, unlike many republicans, doesn't measure the economy or the state of the country solely on his own success, is concerned and knowledgeble about how the economy is doing overall and what the prospects for the future are for the general population. He probably also recognizes that the president alone doesn't have that big an impact on the overall economy. He probably also got PO'd at the implication that Bush had anything to do with his personal success.
Also, if your uncle only had "Half a Brain" I doubt he would be such a successful businessman

What the hell kind of question is that? You demonstrate that it is the conservative republican that is born without ANY brain for asking such a question. What difference would it make, he doesn't have to be poor to disapprove of the "Bush" economy, one need only check the unemployment rates, or the falling housing market to see that the economy IS NOT what you people think it is. The truth is, there is no hope for the young people of this country because of brainless idiots like you who think the world has been made perfect by Bush because the FOX news channel said so. Bush did a good job, heh you should be the one getting YOUR head examined.

Perhaps you should look at the facts. This country is in debt up to its ears. If OPEC changed to Euros or if China decided to not renew our loans the U.S. would be bankrupt! There is about a $30,000 debt for each man, woman, and child due to these deficits. The U.S. payed $4 BILLION in interest last year. This does not project a rosy future, it means that your uncle is right and that those who are just entering the job market have a hard road ahead.

No, they are no missing a part of the brain. It is called 'Doublethink'. It is detailed in Orwell's 1984. A liberal must be able to hole two juxtaposed beliefs in tandem. It does cause frustration, but that frustration is redirected into Bushate. that is why your uncle freaked out and flew into a rage after your comment. What you did was ask him to reconcile reality (the good job Bush is doing) with his political belief that Bush is ruining the country. The resulted anger isn't even directed at Bush, but directed at your uncle himself. Often Liberals are frustrated with their own inadequacies. That frustration is channeled into Bushate.
It is a learned trait, not one the poor souls are born with.

Democrats are stubborn. They think their own ways may change everything. Look at the mess they created for us now: when they lost VN war, the power of China increase and US reputation downs! Then consequenly US lost every war. Bill Clinton ignores terrorists' activity and we have the mess now.
