LOL...he said that? I missed it somewhere along the line. Its a nice comparison. True, in a strange sort of way. How odd....masturbation is often seen as selfish, one sided...seems he is saying that philosophy should be less about the I and more about the we.....that it should benefit the entire world and not just a select group. That philosophy is a selfish, self centered pursuit of individual approbation? Self gratification? I have got to look closer into Marx!!

That Karl Marx was no philosopher nor did he know what philosophy is all about... it is the essence of life captured in logical imagination which is the mother of all creativity.

When you mastur bate you are probably thinking about real sex, or relationships, or emotions, but whatever you think about..thats all you are doing is pretending. When you philosophize, you aren't living life..you are just fantasizing about it. (or) Karl Marx is truly an idiot. Whichever. :o)

well you can sit at home all day and philosophize. and never go out into the real world.
just like you can masturbate all day and never have sex.
they both lack physical production.
although I must say more has been acomplished
with philosophy.

both rely strongly on the imagination.
