clean with ribbing alcohol...then polish with wax...its great...ifyou dont have wax use furniture polish or Peanut Butter..just remember to wipe it off completly leaving only the oils which fill the scratches ....works great!

wash it under running tapwater, wipe it clean with a soft cotton cloth...dont take this as a joke...works wonders!
