I think so. I am a 45 year old woman who stays home to take care of my family. I have been happily married for going on 25 years and we have 4 great kids. We had 4 because that is what we could afford. We do not ask the government to support them in any way. There is a HUGE breakdown of morals in this society and it makes me sad for my kids. They are all great kids with high morals, high grades, strong work ethic, honor, and they are not the majority!

A. No. Marriage is a Sacrament between one man and one woman. God did not create Adam and Steve...
B. No. Gays cannot procreate without artificial help and should not be able to adopt children. They are not meant to have any.
C. No. Not unless we don't have to KNOW they are gay. Do normal people take PRIDE in who they sleep with?
D. Don't ask, Don't tell seems good to me.
E. If having a gay person hurts their business then yes. If they want to style hair or ice skate I don't think anyone would care.
F. Yes. I don't want to have to see parades with people chanting, "we're here and we're queer". No man should wear a boa. Rosie should be taken off the view since it is only women and she always talks about her "wife" - she's the dude it seems.
G. No.

They live their lives defined by WHO they sleep with. It is an obsession with a lot of them. I don't want to hear about it. I am not against the person, I am against the ACT of sleeping with someone of the same sex. I think it is wrong.

A: I'm torn on that one, I am a Christian man, but I recognize that marriage in this day and age has lost all sacredness, in fact it is little more than a cheap ceremony that serves to somewhat dignify lust fueled confusion of priority with a piece of paper that can be recognized from state to state. That being said, what precisely is wrong with letting gays make the same hollow commitments as straight people do every day when they win at the slots in Vegas and see a pretty woman walk by?

B: Another issue upon which I am torn. I think thought, that for the sake of practicality, the only reason anyone should be prohibited from adoption is if they are an unfit parent.

C: They're teaching stuff like Geography, Science, and math for Christ's sake! Not anal easing 101! They are teachers not pimps at a desk! My response is yes, unless they are unqualified to fill the position of whatever they are teaching, their sexual orientation is irrelevant.

D: If they can get the job done, yes! I think that it is amazing that they still want to serve their country when we constantly put such an emphasis on being prejudiced toward them and denying them many of the civil liberties that should be afforded to any human being according to the founding principles of our own nation. A bullet doesn't care what you are, if you're willing and able to make the cut to go out and get trained to fight in the field, you should be allowed to go out and do it!

E: It's not a matter of sexual orientation there. The answer is no in my opinion. It should be a matter of competence and qualifications. Unless the employer is concerned with whether or not they're gonna get some @ss from the new employee, sexuality is impertinent.

F: It's a matter of personal discretion. We made it a point to pretend we were a free nation that believed in progress and granting the basic freedoms that should accompany humanity in general, and time and time again, we've showed our @ss and proven what we really were as Americans. If I may touch on a personal note, when America invaded Native American lands, there first thing was too attempt to suppress their culture and integrate them into Western Civilization. It's the same thing you are suggesting now, but in a slightly different context.

A) gays beallowed to marry...does it matter?
B)Gays be able to Adopt children...sure
C) Gays teach in our schools...Yes (but not pedophiles)
D)Gays Serve in the military...Yes
E) Employers have the right to hire only straight people...no, that encourages homophobia. If a person comes to you with extreme capabilities hire him. If you find out he/she does a good job, keep them on. If a person comes to you and says: I'm gay, hire me...blow them off, they aren't qualified.
F) They be placed back in the closet or in private where they belong. Most actually stay that way. I have friends that have no interest in getting married, changing the world. They don't even kiss in public. But I think normal people are that way.
G) Would you vote for an openly gay candidate for president? I really don't care about the marital, or sexual status of anyone at random. If someone is running on a sexual platform, they need to be in a bedroom.

I don't believe that being gay is genetic or that they can't help being gay. I believe it is a choice of the individual. Then when you look at some of the things that homosexual engage in it becomes a whole different scenero.
I don't belive gays should marry, for the following reasons, First of all their are many gay activists who have openly said that they want gay marriage to be allowed in order to destroy traditional values. Secondly, because homosexuality has not been proven to be anything other than a choice, allowing gays to enter marriage would be an endorsement of their chosen behavior.
I do not believe that gays should be allowed to adopt children. Being that homosexuality isn't genetic, and since homosexuals cannot reproduce with the same gender, one must ask how is it that there continue to be homosexuals? One answer (that is backed by compelling evidence) is that they recruit. Thus by allowing them to adopt they are going to be influencing their adopted children with their deviant behavior. Secondly I don't think gays should be allowed to adopt because statistics show that homosexuals are 3 times more likely to sexually abuse children than heterosexuals.
I don't have a problem with gays teaching at our schools as long as they do not push their lifestlyes, or advocate their lifestlyes upon the children being taught, and as long as they do not engage in any inappropriate behavior.
Gays in the military are a reality, again I have no problem with this as long as they aren't hitting on me or engaging in inappropriate behavior.
I personally think that employers should hire the best qualified person for the job. Being qualified has many aspects to it. There may be a gay person who meets all the criteria for the job, but his presence at the work place would be too great of a distraction, and everyone elses performance drops to below acceptable levels, thus that person probably shouldn't have been hired.
I don't think that gays should be placed back in the closet, I do however believe that we should stop being so politically correct about it, do some serious studies on homosexuality, and try to help them find a normal lifestyle.
And no I would not vote for an openly gay candidate.
I realize that my answer(s) is going to cause many to label me as a bigot and intolerant, but why should homosexuality be placed off limits when it has been repeatedly shown to be a choice of the individuals practicing it?

A. Yes, our Constitution gives us the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Marriage is not a religious thing.
B. Of course, many children need homes, two loving gay parents are better than a foster home or an alcoholic mother or father who beats their child.
C. Yes as long as they don't promote that lifestyle to the students they are teaching.
D.Should not even be an issue, if they want to serve their country why stop them?
E. A privately owned company should not be bound by PC or Affirmative Action and should be able to hire whomever they want or don't want for whatever reason they may have.
F.No of course not.
G. I would, that type of thing does not matter to me. I highly doubt though that a gay candidate would ever win either partys nomination.

A) Yes, then they can put up with the same things the rest of us have to.

B) No, at least not until the child is old enough to know that there is a alternative to being gay.

C) This is a decision that should be made by each individual school board as it reflects their communities and the parents desires. The individual right of the gay teacher carries less weight when children are involved.

D) Yes, let them serve, there is nothing that says you can't be gay and a patriot. As a retired submariner, I will say that they should not be on submarines, to close of quarters.

E) No, it should have no bearing on employment, that would also be hard to enforce due to the fact that it is hard to prove someone is not hired or is fired because they are gay.

F) No, We have to have someone to make the rest of us feel normal and good about ourselves.

G) No, just because of the international repercussions.

First, 4 quick sentences about me: I am 25, a Hinze 57 that grew up in a military family til I was 10. Then my dad got out of the military and my parents divorced. I grew up in a lot of states but the most time was in California and Colorado. I am now in the military and yes I am straight.

Now to answer your questions:
A-G) Yes, gays should be able to live as freely in these states as any other American. If they are as qualified as the next guy let it be. If they have the best ideas then let it be. End of topic.
I am surprised you didn't try to also relate a racial issue with all this. I have nothing wrong with anyone being different than me, but please stop with all the different days and months of recognition. Yes, we know that there are hundreds of different types of Americans that range from a Black Jews to Filipino Mormons. That's cool, that's what it is all about! And that should be the end of it. WE ARE ALL AMERICAN! And there needs to be more celebrating that fact!

g. no, not me personally, but to a lot of people it doesn´t matter
Yes, your thinking has changed a lot, but that is fine too.
