I ask the question because recently whenever i have a glass of water on my desk, it's been getting full of bubbles after sitting there for around 5 minutes. Anyone?

Its dissolved air that has come out of solution.

The air was dissolved and then slowly came together to forma bubble that can be seen at 'sites of nucleation'

Air bubbles, u may have town chemicals in your water, well water dont do that.

water is as u know, its H2o, maybe the bubble is formed because of the H2 gas? or O2 gas formed due to temperature, chemical reaction in it? :p or in civil engineering, hehe this might happened due to micro voids at the glass wall?? hahah :)

chlorinated water gives bubbles.... when the amount of chlorine is high......
I dont think it is harmful
