S$10K is not really a huge sum. I belive many singaporeans would have that kind of money in their bank account.
If you're keen in doing business, I would suggest looking for those low risk, no huge money involved upfront.

s $10k is quite a small amt in singapore,u can't even open a business except a licensed hawker.

i will go into stocks and unit trusts.
stocks and UTs are also in businesses.
