Help - I want to buy a bra for my gf? How can I estimated the size?

If you don't know her size, don't risk it. Chances are you'll get it wrong and offend her. If you really like the idea of giving underwear, get her gift vouchers to somewhere like La Senza.

Either look at an existing bra that she owns to see what size she is, or get her a gift certificate for a nice underwear shop instead of actually buying the item. You can't tell from someone's dress size what bra size they are, so don't bother looking at her tops or trousers or anything, you need to look at one of the bra's themselves.

What you're looking for is where it says something like: 32B or 36DD - the number is the measurement around the chest under the boobs, and the letters indicate the cup size for the boobs. It's not gonna do you any good at all if you know one or the other, so make sure you know both.

If you don't live with your gf, so don't have access to her undies to check, why not ring her flatmate or sister or best mate and ask them to check for you.

If you can look at one of her bras and check the size that would be your best option, but if not then I wouldn't chance it. I agree with the other girl I would purchase a Gift Card to a nice Store. Victoria's Secret is a good choice, they have the BEST bras. The only kind that I wear; my absolute favorite!:)

If you get the chance look in your gf's underwear draw and look at the label on the bra that will give you an excellent idea of what size to choose

The best thing to do would be to gain access to a bra of hers(her bra draw perhaps) and look.

Fact: 75% of girls don't know there correct size but at least you will be buying what she wares.
The size will be chest in inchs and the handfull will be cup size

Somebody once said that more than a mouthful was too much!! But never mind that, get a hold of one of her old bras and see what size she is, or ask her, or ask one of the girls in the shop to help, they are used to it so don't be embarrased or anything. why dont you look in her draw when shes out the room
or she must be wearing one
make a move on her then read the tag of the bra. its normally at the back
it should be 2 numbes and a letter or sometimes two

firstly your girlfriend is very lucky to have such a lovely and thoughtful boyfriend. theres 2 ideas, you could buy her a gift voucher for la senza or somewhere nice like that, or you could look at one of her bras to check for the size. i wouldnt just guess as she might be offended if you get the wrong size.hope this helps. good luck xx

i agree with the first answer. if you don't know for sure, buy her something else. if you're sneaky about it, the next time you have access to her bra, take a look at the strap near the back clasps. if she hasn't cut the tag off, there should be one there that says what size she is. good luck!

Don't guess. An ill fitting bra can be very uncomfortable and not very appealling... You'll have to be sneaky and take a rummage through her knicker drawer to find the right size...
