I can't find my original birth certificate anywhere. I think maybe it may have gotten destroyed or buried somehow in my house. Is there a way to get another copy of it?

Find out the address of Vital Statistics(or Office of Vital Records) in the state you were born in. There is usually a site you can go to on line. There is a fee for a copy of your birth certificate. You will have to send them some more birth information along with the fee.

Go to a municipal Building in the town where you were born. Make sure that you bring you social sucurity card with you. I did the same thing. I'm not sure if i had to bring my license(Driver's) bring that just in case. If not bring another form of ID with picture on it. They will copy your Birth Certifercate for you. Good Luck! OH! You may have to pay $10.00

Contact the County Clerk's office in the county where you were born.
