Dear people, im starting to feel really depressed in my cheerleading practices. There is alot of nagivative enegry. Theres so much bitching im starting to be fed up. Everytime i want to teach ppl how to stretch for things like the splits, as they try to do it but cant, i get told they would never ask me, in a sarcastic way. Whenever i slip ideas or try to see where stunts are unstable, i get my head ripped off being told "what do i know". I've learnt to shut up, my confidence is going down hill and i feel like i really want to leave now. Would i be a traitor if i left and done tryouts for an outside sqaud? My senstive ways don't help, i guess, i get clobbered down alot. I just don't like it how im always pushed into the back and seen as nothing. Do you think i should leave? Or am i thinking the wrong way? Do you know any tryouts in the UK that are opened soon?

EVERYONE cries at cheerleading practice, it's like a rule. There's just so much estrogen going around that you get stressed out and want to kill someone. I suggest that you don't give out any more pointers and that you get your splits and stunts really goood so that people ASK you for advice. Changing to another cheerleading team probably isn't a good idea because there's a lot of tension on all cheerleading teams anyway and you don't want to be "the new girl".

Don't change teams, it's not going to be any different, you're just going to be the outsider then. Take some initiative and stand up for the things you say. If you think a stunt is unstable or not working then suggest a different one, bring in pictures, no one will be able to say you don't know anything then, you'll have the proof that you know everything right in your hands. Go on youtube.com, there's pleanty of cheerleading stuff on there, come up with something amazing so people will start comming to you for suggestions, but make sure you're doing this in a nice matter, don't be too aggressive but still stand your ground and let them know that you have opinions, too. I'm sure your ideas and tips are great and probably better than most of the other girls. Don't be depressed, it's not worth it. I'm always looking for cheerleading tips to help me and my squad (because we're the same way) so I'll always be here to listen if you need someone!

as a cheerleader let me help u!! There is always drama on my squad. U r doing the rite thing by checking everybody out and making sure that everything is ok. Good choice. If things are getting bad then {from experience} tell ur coach. He/she should be able to put things under control. if they r really being mean about constructive critisim then say " Sorry if i care about the squa but u obviously aren't doing anything about it" that may be a little riskey but they need a taste of there own medicine!! I don't think u should quit. Cheerleading is supposed to b fun. Maybe u caould try-out for another squad while u are on ur original squad. Just an idea!!

It got to the point with my kids that I had people crying or sulking at every practice because they have thin skin. So the new rule became: NO one can make critiques but the coach.

That helped greatly. But to make sure people get a chance to add their two cents, they can leave notes in the comments notebook for me to address at the next meeting.

what you need is some self confidence.. if you have a good idea of how something should be done stand by it and don't let other down grade from who you are.. so what if you in the back of the squad you made the team. so you had to have done something right.. you should leave only if thats what you want to.. good luck
