I thought were gonna start answering our questions. After watching last night I have more questions. What do Jack's tattoos mean? What did Jack do to be "marked"? What were the other survivors doing watching Jack on the "work" island? Do the survivors live on the "work" island while the others go back to the home/crash site island? Now that Jack knows he going back to the crash site island do you think he will try to escape? Do you like the show? I'm almost to the point where I'm just tired of the whole thing.

When the new woman told what the tattoos meant on the beach at the end, he says that what they say but not what they mean.

The tats mean he walks among us but isnt one of us(literally) to him it means a gift from a woman he cared for. I am not sure what you mean Jack being marked. I am not sure about the work island question I have no idea why all those people were staring at him. You know what I am just as lost as you are now. Dang it. Hey check this site out it helps me out a lot. http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Main_Page

What do Jack's tattoos mean? "He walks among us but is not one of us." I think it means he is with us but not part of us (as in he'll always be an outsider regardless of where he is).
What did Jack do to be "marked"? He got the tattoo which in turn got him beat up.
What were the other survivors doing watching Jack on the "work" island? I have no clue - that still puzzles me.
Do the survivors live on the "work" island while the others go back to the home/crash site island? The 815 survivors live on the same island that The Others live on.
Now that Jack knows he going back to the crash site island do you think he will try to escape? Nope - I think he's falling for Juliet and I don't think she'll leave The Others.
Do you like the show? Oh, heck yeah! When I don't know the answers to the questions, I just use my own judgment to make guesstimates (can you tell?).

I absolutely love this show. It did leave a lot of questions for me as well. I'm most curious about the survivors that were taken. I also bet that Jack tries to run away, but I don't think that the others live on the same island as the crash site. I think that there is another island that is protected by some invisible force so the survivors can not see it. I think that their flashbacks are some type of time travel and they have control of their fate.

The tattoos mean different, not like us, or something like that - that weird blonde (older) chick said so near the end. As far as the "work" island and the "home" island, I don't get any of that. If Jack doesn't try to escape, the writers are idiots, but I think they are anyway. The only reason I'm watching next week is because the trailer looks good, and it doesn't deal with the damned Others.

Jack's tattoo says "He walks amongst others, but he is not one of us." In Jack's flashback he was in another country and he was seeing this woman. This woman could "see who people are" and then she marks them by giving them a tattoo. Why they were watching Jack was never revealed. The survivors do not live on the "work" island . The losties and the "others" all live on the main island. I don't think Jack will try to escape because he could be killed. I still love the show. It's like one big mystery and it's so suspenseful.

Yes.I can only answer your first question because Im very confused as well since Jack had a Sak Yant tattoo which was the the Tai name for the Tattooing of Sacred geometrical designs on the skin. The Yantra designs that already existed in Hindu India were adapted by the Thais as Buddhism arrived from neighbouring India.
Different masters have added to these designs through visions received in their meditations.
Some Yant have been adapted from pre-Buddhist Shamanism and Animalism that was to be found in the Southeast Asian sub-Continent and incorporated into the Thai Buddhist Theravada tradition.I hate the show. Its too confusing to watch

I love the show, but yesterday's episode was just really frustrating to watch.
The survivors of flight 815 live on the main island and so do the others. The others just work on the smaller island doing 'research'.
The tattoo literally translates as, 'he walks among us, but he is not one of us'.
HTH : )

I loved the show in the beginning. I burned out, last season. In my opinion, nothing is ever answered. I felt like we were being laughed at by the writers. I don't watch anymore.

his tattoo means amongst us but not one of us.
he wanted to be marked but she said it was against her people
he then forced her so she did it, but instead wrote what i said up above and he'd never know unless he could read chinese. its kind of a resemblance to how hes with the others but not one of them.
the next episode should clear up the people who were kidnapped.
i love the show its fun. the reason why its carrying on is to get more money.
think of it like this if each episode brought in 100,000 dollars and you make 30 episodes. A lot of money is made. But if you shorten it to 10 episodes its lame and brings in 1,000,000.
keep watchin trust me its like lucky number slevin

Yeah, I was LOST, then I got over it. They've dangled too many carrots that we can't reach, NEVER answer questions, so on and so forth. I was so freaking hooked for so long - but they've dwadled for too long now, so I've stopped watching.
