The official languages may someday be English and Spanish, but I doubt that Spanish only will ever be the official language.

The United States has no official language and I doubt it would be Spanish. If anything, they will make English the official language.

I don't think there should be an official language.People should speak the language they prefer..And if Spanish is made the official language,my redneck relatives will be in trouble,LOL It's hard enough for them to speak "good English" LOL

That is a Q that really ticks me off. If you move to America and you get citizenship or even if you don't, LEARN THE FREAKIN' LANGUAGE!!! Better never happen in MY life time (making Spanish the official)!

I think it's right around the corner. I live in Texas and if you can't speak spanish (even a little to get by) you lose out. And it's mandatory for school principles to know spanish.

The way things are going we should have a Mexican in the white house by 2010. The official language should change just before than.

Here in Kansas, they are voting on a bill to make English the official language, it looks like it will pass. I could not be happier.

not going to happen...even with the influx of our latino neighbors. English is the second most spoken language in the world, our entire culture and history is based in English. World trade is conducted in English.

omg, DONT EVEN get me started! It is soooo ridiculous! Everywhere we call we can choose between English and Spanish..directions for almost anything is now in both....grrrrrrr....do other countries have this? I mean, I know most people in European counties, for instance, speak their native language and English....do they have a choice?...highly doubtful but I could be wrong...
