does age difference factor into who you trust?

i've always felt that I couldn't trust anyone more than 5 years older or younger than me -- there's something about the generation gap beyond 5 years either direction that in my experience you are more likely to be : lied to / betrayed / lose a friendship

does anyone else agree or disagree?

I disagree with that, but thats just me. I like the older ones better, especially their views on how the world has changed and whether it's for the better since they were kids. Someone younger then me couldn't answer that.
