it is the truth
All evil needs to flourish in the world is for good men to do nothing.
Dems always want to do nothing.

I have said some things in my time that you'd otherwise think I should be ashamed to say and well I am not, so should he be? no not really, not unless he felt that way towards republicans and just lost his mental state for a moment and then got it back afterwards and realized the err of his ways, but even then I think that we will never change, I will as far as I am concerned go on feeling that same exact way towards republicans for as far as I can tell until I die, or go senile, and what would motivate a person to say such a thing? I guess if you believe it to be true and it is the way you feel than you'd think that would be enough to motivate you, maybe the devil made him do it?

No he should be rewarded. LOL. Maybe he is challenging you to do some homework and look at the Dems history. You may find a correlation of something a Dem leader did or propsed that may of effected him in days past. I guess I am not sure why he should be ashamed. Because he has an opinion. Are you saying he should be ashamed for his bashing of dems or using the name satan? Either way...ummm wouldn't that be against the left-wing mantra? Hmmm... maybe grandpa proved his point right there.

That would be a NO. He has every right to say what he feels to be true. And I must say, I agree. What motivates him is called 'wisdom'...a collection of knowledge, experience, reasoning and intellect. Or in the short term...'inner knowing' of what is right about something and what is hidden and wrong about something, or someone.
If your grand dad is a Christian man and knows what has been going on for the last 4 decades, and about who..then I would say his judgment is pretty solid. It's obvious that no one on the Dem side can hide anything from him, and that's a good thing. That's the kinda stuff that keeps us alive and safe.

One of the greatest things about America is that everyone is allowed to speak their own mind. Try that one in many countries and you'll disappear or be killed. I don't particularly agree with your Grandfather's position but I respect his right to have that opinion.

Satan's a really bad guy. Don't worry about insulting Satan. :)
Seriously though, there's likely a reason for him to feel that way, it'd be a good idea to see why he said it instead rather than rejecting it from the start.

No he should not be ashamed. His motivations are his own but they probably come from a lifetime of observation, you should respect your elders and learn from them

With age comes wisdom. Don't be so quick to dismiss his opinions they are the product of a lifetime of experiences.
