So what you are saying is, maybe the Howell's sabatoged the minnow. They must have hand picked the others! The professor to make anything they needed that they didn't pack, the movie star and Mary Ann must have been objects of affection for Mr. Howell, or heck, for Lovie too, we will never know, will we! They must have been sick of the fast past life of being millionaire's and decided a quiet island life was the way to go! Either that or they were international spies who were discovered and were looking to hide out for a few years while the dust settled. Or..........Mr. Howell may have had a child with another woman and was avoiding paying child support! We could go on all day, but it was fun. Cute question.

Yes, I bet when they loaded the luggage it was put all on the port side, then the wave hit on the starboard side and then they hit a rock putting a giant hole in the side of the boat. But the professor is very happy because he can now use the dental floss and feather boa to make a transistor radio (or was it made out of coconuts?)

Dude, you are way to much into this.
Take a deep breath and let Gilligan go.
