it was a game where you... got to pick ur jet/cruiser and you would fly around and shoot.. and at the end of each level you would face the boss... can someone help me? thank you

Unfortunately, they're right - there is hundreds of games that would describe. But, if I had to guess, I might guess Raiden or 1942 or 1943.

Definately not Space Invaders. I don't remember there being bosses in that game.

Tyrian? (omg i played lot of time whith this game)
if you kill the last boss you can continu the lv 1 with your actual item. if you kill the las boss again you come back to lv 1 but your are a carot and you shoot banana. if you ... again it's christmass. if .... i dontr remember.

Raptor? a superfighter able to drop nuke bomb.

Oh yeah. That was a great game. Commando comes to mind but I'm not sure. I know exactly the game you are referring to. Yeah Commando. I just looked it up.
