I'm scheduled to go to a 3rd interview at this investment company for an I.T. position. This position has better pay and better benefits - just better everything. However, I know I will be quitting I.T. and start my business venture with my old friend at the end of year 2007. I have been planning the business with him since last last year, and we will execute our plan as soon as we have everything mapped out. I feel that I shouldn't even bother to go to that interview because if I quit the new job in this December (only if they hire me), it just doens't look good. I'm trying to think rationally now. Need some advise.

It depends on you, but your best choice would be to go to the job interview. If you do get the job you should take it, because you never know what type of setbacks could come in starting your own business. It is always helpful to have some extra cash set aside for your project. However, if everything goes as it should, then just quit in December. If you are going to be your own employer, you don't need a recommendation from your old employer. Don't tell them that you are starting your own business in the interview, they wont hire you.

i say take the job, youll never know if your plan for your business is going to work out until it does. you could always give them 2 or 3 or 4 weeks notice if you do decide to leave. plus you just might have a place to fall back on if need be. i dont know, thats just my thoughts...
