Working for years in areas where vultures hang out (gross huh), it wasn't until 2005, in Lufkin, TX, days before Rita hit, that one of the guys said, hey- ever see a baby vulture? Come to think of it, NO. But, 2 days before Rita hit, the vultures were bringing their babies out to some mounds on a hill. We should've realized something was up?!

LOL! That must have been really neat. The closest I've come was disturbing a vulture on its nest, so I got to see the eggs, but not the chicks. Boy, was THAT bird mad! I just wanted to have a picnic -- I didn't know she was nesting in the blind until I tried to climb into it. Whoosh!
