Why do "speeders" always blame the police for "targeting" speeders and not drug dealers?
As a law enforcement officer for over 30 years...I can tell you this...
Police agencies are broken down in to "divisions." There are divisions which investigate general crimes such as thefts, assaults, robberies, and homicides.
There are also divisions that investigate narcotics cases.
Then there is the traffic division of which handles speeders and accident investigations.
The officer who works one division does not normally work investigations handles by other divisions.
My agency gets NOTHING from issuing speeding tickets! Those dollars go to the State!
Instead of complaining about how law enforcement is or is not doing something.........SLOW DOWN!
The life you may save by driving RESPONSIBLY...may be my own!

They make money off of the speeding tickets. Drug dealers just go to jail. They would rather catch 100 speeders, than 1 drug dealer.

Because highway safety is an important public safety issue in that about 35,000 people are killed each year by bad driving and drivers. Drugs laws are enforced as well and thats important because its an important public safety and public health problem. Why ask a question that pits one issue against the other when in fact they are not related? So are you a drug dealer, user or a speeder? How have the police bothered you. if you are either then I hope they keep it up.

THEY DON'T GIVE A HOOT ABOUT DRUGS, THEY GET A RUSH/HIGH CHASING SPEEDERS SO THEY CAN CATCH THEM AND BEAT THEM DOWN AND FEEL LIKE SUPERMAN OR SOMETHING! IT'S ALL ABOUT THE POWER TRIP MAN!
