Given the facts that diplomatic talks are going slowly with the UN, EU and Iran. And there's no change in the Iranian President's attitude towards nuclear proliferation. Is an attack as speculated by the media, imminent?

The media knows about as much as any average jo does. There really is no need to attack Iran tomorrow. It will take them several years to get all those centrifuges up and running properly. A couple more years to develop a bomb if that's what they're trying to do. I do feel that the US is expecting something to happen in that region much sooner which is why they are building up defenses in the area. I'm sure a lot is going on that we don't know about but it always does and we are probably better for not knowing. Iran is much stronger militarily now than Iraq was before the US invaded.

I'm more concerned about Russia right now. Their policies seem to be isolating them from the US and NATO. I don't think the world can handle another cold war.

It is a powder keg with sparks flying every which way.
In the presidents words "all options are still on the table".
Stability in Iraq would encourage the Administration to carry out military operations in Iran IMO. but even if things continue to go badly in Iraq I wouldn't be all that surprised to see this administration carry out strategic air strikes on into Iran, they are a force in their own right these Neo Cons and have shown that their ideology trumps any and all decent in pursuing their objectives.

I think no, George W. Bush is tied up with Iraq and Afghanistan. I think it is better that he clean the mess of Iraq first before going to Iran

pure speculation for the time being. everything could change within hours, days and sometimes minutes. PS. do not rely on the media news to get the latest -- it is top secret until it does happen. hope it helps.

Only if they attack first or if they set off a nuke. Israel doesn't need America to attack, they can kick Iran's butt themselves.
