where to stay in mauritus which part is the most convinient and some good hotels with nice beach.?

I am looking for a 4-5 star hotel which will be convinient from the angle of site seeing and should have a nice beach. as I am with my kid of 2 years I want to reduce my travel time of going from hotel to places worth seeing so if any one can share their experience it will be helpful to me.thanks

Mauritius is a beautful place - a great choice for a vacation.

There are some good suggestions and most of the hotels displayed on this directory describe the beach facilities and show images of the hotel. This may help a lot. Distances are not big in Mauritius, so I wouldn't be too concerned about the occassional excursions by tour bus or taxi.
