Fox airs a program called "21" and on this program they use extreme methods of torture to force people to tell them what they want to hear.

Torture is still illegal in America.

Young 18 and 19 year olds are still very impressionable but they watch this show and think that's torture is the norm.

Just which of George W. Bush's years of presidency did torture become entertainment?

I don't know if this is a political issue, but I do agree with your questioning the level of entertainment on that show. I understand that it is well written and acted...but personally, I've stopped watching because of the torture scenes. They are too much for me.

The same reason the US Calvary Helicopter units in Vietnam would play many Classical music pieces that were very powerful in nature, Wagner, Beethoven, as to say here we come. It really isn't so much about the music as it is a way to associate an event that is about to take place, with it's anticipation of it's very application of it that makes it torture. It would be equivalent in saying"Just wait until your Father gets home", or when Mom gets home I'm going to tell. Not really the same kind of anxiety producing effects, but in the eyes of a child about to be punished it would be about the same.

18 and 19 year olds are NOT kids! They are adults. Adults can separate reality (the world we live in) and television (the world Jack Bauer lives in).

That's why you don't have 18 and 19 year olds imitating other TV shows. Why single out one show?

Is it to fit an agenda? I think so. Cheers, mate.
