I found a cache of old football and basketball cards in my attic. From the 70's and 80's most of them. Are they worth anything like baseball cards are? Wher can I move them?

Football Basketball and baseball cards from the 70's and 80's all have the same relative value. Actually i think you might have hit the jackpot.

Go buy a Tuff Stuff magazine (it puts a value on sports trading cards) and then put them on Ebay or sell them to your local card collector guy.

Not sure about football cards, but when talking about basketball cards from the 80s, the first thing that comes to mind is the Rookie Card of Michael Jordan printed by Fleer for its 1986-87 series. That's at least a thousand bucks if not bent or creased. There're other valuable bball cards too, mostly rookie cards. I can't list them all here, but you can get hold of a Tuff Stuff magazine for multisport card values or Beckett Football/Basketball Monthly if you're interested to know the values of your individual cards. Card collecting is not only a hobby now, but also a form of investment, so values of old cards very much depend on the card conditions.

Yes they do have some good value. The football may contain rookies of some of the best players ever. In the 70's you could see rookie cards of Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Franco Harris, on and on. Even some commons from the earlier 70's sets were short printed and fairly rare. Look for Steelers and Cowboys.

Basketball, early 80's look for the Larry Bird/Magic Johnson card. There will be 3 players on it and it will be perforated between the three and hopefully was not seperated.

Sounds like a good find

There are some cards that have value, but not near the value of baseball cards. Try EBay.....
