Your question doesn't show very much respect......really it just gives fuel to the fire you seem to be complaining about.....not all women make men look bad.....some men are quite able to do it all by themselves.....and some women don't need men as an excuse to act bad either...they would do it with or without the aid of a man.....

what about the way (some) males on here try to make women look bad, just for wanting equal respect and opportunities? i am a feminist. i think women and men should be equal, i'm not necessarily a *****, but i can be if insulted. there are many sexist mysogynists on here, men and women (yes, i've seen women who flat out say they hate women).

so, if you're so sweet & respect women, why say we all try to make men look bad, and call us feminist b!tches? i'd say you aren't so sweet & respectful as you want to think.

i think you should base an individual on the individual. men can be the same if given the chance and it maybe better to ask a question that doesn't sound so sexist. just remember the times we live in now.. ladies can have masculine traits and men can have feminine qualities in them. I have had a lot of friends that do and say things with out thinking of the consequences. It doesn't matter the sex.

I love this anonymous poem. Kind of sums up what you are saying with the exception of the sexist male comments and I agree those are wrong.

Bitchology

When I stand up for myself and my beliefs,
they call me a *****.

When I stand up for those I love,
they call me a *****.

When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts or do
things my own way, they call me a *****.

Being a ***** means I won't compromise what's in
my heart. It means I live my life MY way. It
means I won't allow anyone to step on me.

When I refuse to tolerate injustice and
speak against it, I am defined as a *****.

The same thing happens when I take time for
myself instead of being everyone's maid.

It means I have the courage and strength to
allow myself to be who I truly am and won't
become anyone else's idea of what
they think I "should" be.

I am outspoken, opinionated and determined.
I want what I want and there is
nothing wrong with that!

So try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame,
try to squash every ounce of beauty I hold
within me. You won't succeed. And if
that makes me a *****, so be it.

I embrace the title and am proud to bear it !!!!

Yet another crank: you guys can dish it out but you sure can't take it. I expect you'll be reporting ME.

Crank (person)
"Crank" is a pejorative term for a person who

1. holds some belief which the vast majority of his
contemporaries would consider false,

2. clings to this belief in the face of all
counterarguments or evidence presented to him.

The term implies that

1. a "cranky" belief is so wildly at variance with
some commonly accepted truth as to be ludicrous,

2. arguing with the crank is useless, because he will
invariably dismiss all evidence or arguments which
contradict his cranky belief.

Common synonyms for "crank" include kook and crackpot.
The word quack is usually reserved for someone who
promotes a medical remedy or practice which he knows
to be ineffective.

The psychology of cranks

A widely quoted study by two Cornell University
psychologists, Justin Kruger and David Dunning, is
often thought to bear directly upon a striking and
virtually universal characteristic of cranks: they
simultaneously overestimate their own knowledge and
ability and underestimate that of other persons,
including that of acknowledged experts in the field.

Kruger and Dunning hypothesized that with regard to a
typical skill which humans may possess in greater or
lesser degree,

1. incompetent individuals tend to overestimate their
own level of skill,

2. incompetent individuals fail to recognize genuine
skill in others,

3. incompetent individuals fail to recognize the
extremity of their inadequacy,

4. if they can be trained to improve their own skill
level, these individuals can recognize and acknowledge
their own previous lack of skill.

They confirmed these hypotheses in a series of tests.

These results are taken to explain why cranks so often
seem to represent, not individuals with an exceptional
degree of knowledge, but rather individuals with an
exceptional degree of ignorance concerning the subject
of their cranky belief.

As noted above, in addition to a general lack of
ability to accurately assess their own skills and
knowledge, many cranks also exhibit deficiencies in
reading comprehension, logical reasoning, and other
cognitive abnormalities, which may contribute both to
how they arrive at some bizarre counterfactual belief
in the first place, and to how they are able to cling
to such a belief in the face of all objections.

It is also striking that many cranks seem to exhibit
certain symptoms of grandiosity or megalomania. This
may perhaps also be understood, in terms of the
phenomenon studied by Kruger and Dunning, as resulting
from a simultaneous overinflation of their own social
value and underestimation of the social value of
others.

You see plenty of feminist bitches, but I see just as many chauvanist pigs, they are all as bad as each other as far as I am concerned! Maybe if everyone just took a step back and looked at their own behaviour, rather than constantly trying to make each other look bad, they might see their own shortcomings.

HTH : )
