It was in a saltwater tank at a petstore. It looked like a fish and it rolled around on the bottom like a goby, but I actually think the guy said it was an invert. It was really colorful like a cameleon, i mean so many colors. And it had a spike down its back, what is this thing?

The only thing i can think of is a mandarin fish

Jonathan - If the photo above is the fish you were looking at (or if it's a similar looking spotted fish), don't think about getting it - these are very difficult to keep alive, need tanks at least 40 gallons with lots of live rock - they only eat live copepods found on the rock and need the tank running at least for 6 months to produce enough to keep them alive! Their skin contains a toxin which is released when they die - and will wipe out any other fish in the tank!
