the biggest amount of internal hard drive space available on a computer is 3 terabytes (1,000 gigs), and the only ones that i know of that have that are alienware. then on like external (removable) hard drives, i'm pretty sure the biggest is 1 terabyte, or 1,000 gigs.

you can get an external one which is 600gb for £160 or an internal hard drive which is 500gb from £105 to about £145 inc vat or even a 750gb at £215

I have seen 750gb drives but 1 terabyte is available. hard drives will keep expanding in volume and chipsets will be made that can accommodate larger and larger sizes

Please check...are you sure you mean "hard drive". That seems awfully small...But, Sure, much bigger, even with fairly standard set ups (and without going crazy). If you are getting a new computer I would.I suggest you check with your local computer store tech and talk to him about it....especially what kind of stuff you do with your computer (like gaming and /or video production). Some types of things are hogs....
