What would Ayman al-Zawahiri, the #2 Alqaeda operative, think if he sees the president, George W. Bush referred to as a "chimp" on Y/A? Would he be happy or sad? If it makes him happy, how does that make liberals feel about cheering this man up?

Very pathetic showing- So its all about you- what you can say? No concern for country. One commented on the extra "dot" I had - sad (I should quit teaching college I guess).

The answers to this question are a great illustration with what is wrong with America today. Everyone is concerned with their "rights" and completely ignore their responsibilities.

Yes, you have the right to call Bush a chimp. But you have the responsibility not to because it gives aid and comfort to people that are trying to murder you and your children. If you call Bush a chimp, which you are free to do, you have the blood of Americans on your hands. Actions have consequences, words have consequences. When the next American city is the victim of a terrorist attack, that will be the consequence of you being more concerned about your rights than your responsibilities.

I think he'd be impressed that a robust democracy such as the United States allows freedom of speech to the point that office-holders can be ridiculed in a public forum.

The political system that demands absolute loyalty to the state is fascism.

The exact opposite is the row that broke out over the Mohammad cartoons in Denmark last year - someone was ridiculed and everybody demanded an apology. Would you like to be compared to those Islamofascists? Hmm?

Cut me a break. If he is reading this nonsense, we aren't pursuing him hard enough. And let me ask you, have you ever complained about ANY politician, their actions, their voting record, etc? That also has the effect of showing that people in this country are in discord about their government.

And, just so you know, real Americans have the DUTY to speak up when their elected officials are not performing adequately--regardless of their political party's affiliation.

You are forgetting the Conservatives and the crap they spew here too. Don't be so quick to criticize the Liberals for the same nonsense that is equally spread on this forum. Neither side is better than the other in that sense.

Since that is the only items that make it into the news, it is all al-Qaeda sees. If I were a dictator and that is all I saw on the news, you would have to force democracy on me too.

Maybe he laughs more at the incompetent execution of american war strategy in Iraq and Afghanistan. The fact he can chill in Pakistan safely even though Pakistan is an"ally" in the"war on terror".
If someone calls Bush a chimp, it means that not all americans are idiots, they can see incompetant leadership.

I don't care what anyone think of our rights to free speech.

Including people like you.

Love and blessings Don

Was that a serious question? It looked more like another one of those "the opposition should shut up" things.

Why do you hate the God given right to free speech?
