I really like Shalwar Kameez. They really look good on me. Since Im short (around 5" 2') i don't think Sarees would suit me as much but i am willing to try. But both of them are just as pretty. also a lot of people in my age group wouldn't really be wearing Sarees (Im 16) so it wouldn't really work for me right now. I live in Canada and to bo honest i have more Shalwar Kameez than western clothes :) I love traditional clothing :)
