Yes, I've always been shy and a loner. When I was very small my mother said I would play alone even though I have a sister only 18 months younger. I like my alone time, but I also love being with my family. I have learned from past experiences when I did try to open up, that people are harsh and criticize what you say. I'd rather be looked at as shy. Sometimes people confuse my shyness with my being a snob or stuck up. Being shy isn't such a bad thing, especially with the Internet, it allows shy people to have a voice they wouldn't otherwise share with others. =)

yes I am a very shy person. I come from a family of eight siblings. I was a premature baby and my parents sheltered me from the outside world because they were afraid I would get sick. This continued through my teen years at school everyone would say she's always the shy one and they were right. I never spoke unless spoken too, I was even shy at home. Shyness can be a good thing at times but can also be a bad thing at times also. I was brought up in a sheltered life. I still to this day am shy and will probably always be.

In part I am a shy person. I'm actually a shy extrovert. This blends in me in that I'm very sociable with people in general. I enjoy going out and experiencing life. Yet...there is also a certain part of me that gets ' shy ' when specific focus is shown towards me...I feel very modest and ' shy ' during moments as that.

Not exactly. But yes sometimes when all the focus is on me,then I do feel a bit shy about doing it even if I know it very well. But I do enjoy it,but at the same time,I like socializing with others, being in my friends' company and group. But yes sometimes while meeting to new people or like interacting with them ,I do feel shy.But once it is done,I am again very friendly, confident.
