Tiger, with his razor sharp claws and bone-crushing bite

Who would win? Me, guns are the ultimate equalizer. No, seriously the Gorilla would win. A gorilla is much stronger than most people realize and can charge, bash, crush, bite, and grapple. The tiger on the other hand relies solely on biting or clawing. The bite and claw affect of a tiger is not enough to kill a gorilla in fact most tigers kill animals via strangulation not by bleeding them dry. Gorilla would mangle the tiger while it tried this technique breaking bones and debilitating it before it had the chance to be effective. Overall though a tiger and a gorilla wouldn't fight, because they don't have any reason to. They are not in conflict over foot and geographically don't meet often.

I have seen this on tv. It all was based on the thinking ability of the Gorilla, Able to decide the best way to attack and react. The Gorilla being the most tactful animal, won by breaking the back of the Tiger when the Tiger tried to attack by jumping at the Gorilla, one sharp blow which hit the tiger at the center of it's back, and it was all over.

A gorilla, as they have much more of a use for their limbs than tigers, which can only bite, jump and scratch. A gorilla can hold off a tiger with a stick if he so wishes, and fully grown male gorillas are stronger than tigers anyway, I believe.

Go make a date with some poachers some time and you can see that a male gorilla can fend off 5 guys with spears all surrounding him. The gorilla is more than capable of fending it off.

Though it's possible a tiger can win if he manages to get his jaws around it's throat. Generally tigers won't attack gorillas anyway, as although they have a tendency to attack larger prey, the gorilla can be extremely aggressive and can crush their spine given the right circumstances.

It depends on a few factors:

1. The size and age of both animals. An adult gorilla can kill a juvenile tiger. An experienced tiger can kill an inexperienced gorilla.
2. Who gets to get the first blow. If a tiger gets a chance, he can crush the gorilla's skull with one swipe of his paw. Same happens with Gorilla. Gorilla's punches are not to be regarded less effective.

However, there wont be a conflict in nature as Tigers are in Asia and Gorillas in Africa. Even if they are in the same place, they are animals who do not attack unless hungry (in case of tiger) or intimidated severely (in case of both).

I think the tiger would be the winner, i don't think the gorilla would do much better then an unarmed man....this is just going with my gut instinct...

The tiger is gifted with a subsonic roar which literally paralyses its prey. This is attributed to its infrasonic sonic (18Hz) or thereabouts, and gives it time to rip out the throat of its unsuspecting victim. My money is on the tiger!
