YES!
As it is argued by some that Marriage is only for procreative purposes, if no child is conceived, the marriage should be annulled. There should be a provision for adoption however, but a time limit should be set. There should be medical testing before a Marriage License is sold in order to determine fertility, if one or both members of the couple are infertile they must sign legal papers in which they agree to adopt a child within a particular time frame in order to buy the license to marry and must prove they have done so by a certain time period or the Marriage automatically becomes annulled.

Well there is an attempt to have such a law added in Washington State I believe. Granted, it's more of a stunt, but the petition is meant to make the point you are alluding to.

That said, one has to wonder how Straight couples would feel if that were the law.

On another note, auspicious, you have done more than your share of hating on us. Just because we can turn that facetious argument about procreation back on you is no reason to be petulant. Admit it, you hate gays (a la Hardaway) and that's OK, just be a man, just this once, and admit it.

As for southernklansman, at least he's honest, he hates everybody who isn't White Heterosexual and Christian. Probably likes to beat his wife and rape his daughter too, but at least he's honest.

Yes. Of course, I don't think that marriage should be for procreation, but if gay marriage is going to be outlawed because of it, then they should also outlaw childless straight marriages. Maybe that would finally get the attention of straights who are saying they support gays but don't believe in lifting a finger to show that support.

Its not "hating on hetros" its just using their logic against them.

If marriage is for procreation, aren't childless marriages an abomination...

If marriage can be just for love, what's wrong with gay marriage!?

THAT is the reason why that argument shouldn't be used, as it just says that you have to have a child and infertile couples shouldn't be married.

So, who do "you" let dictate or make all the decisions in your life for "YOU"?

....or do you just assume that the Freedom of Rights in your country should only allow "YOU" and only those who think like "YOU" that freedom and charter of rights?

Honestly, I don't know why so many people try so hard to have children when there are plenty to harvest for free at the mall.
