You will get an invite soon and then the feature to download it you will get an option in the menu to download the Beta, I dont know exactly when this invite comes but I would advise you dont download right away the servers are going to be overloaded with millions trying to download the same thing at the exact same time, so wait a say or two

The Crackdown disk having the Beta has nothing to do with an invite....
In a few months when the Halo beta becomes available it will show as an available download on Xbox Live. You have to have the Crackdon disk inside the 360 and it will allow you to download the Beta. All of these instructions are on a card in th Crackdown game box.
