Love does fade away over the time. But it is still felt before, now , and forever.
It is the degree that decreases.
There is nothing wrong with this, i believe, when each of us accepts the reality that love can't win at times. If it was bound to win, it should have been properly taken care of.
I don't know what is forever in this world. I guess, maybe souls?

The only thing that is forever, is a person who has had children. Then "YOU", your spirit is here in this world forever. As your children beget children. They in turn beget their children, and so on.
My great, great grandfather has already 7 generations that have come to fruition since he has passed on. It will continue eternally. I would say that is the way a person lasts forever. By the children he or she begets.
I have a picture of my Great, great grandfather and Great great grandmother at their wedding. I also have a copy of their marriage certificate.
At family get togethers we still talk about them, and discuss their achievements in life, see the resemblance in their personalities in our children etc.. Isn't that living forever? I believe they know what is going on with all their off springs where they are. The fact that we go to visit peoples grave sites proves it. But this is only for those who do believe in G-d, and the afterlife.
So if the Asker is an atheist then my answer is superfluous.
I just thought of it and am adding on to this answer. DNA is always forever. So even if the Asker is not a believer in G-d or the afterlife, scientifically the person does last forever. So take your choice. Whatever your belief is "YOU" do last forever in your DNA.

Nothing is forever because death closes all the chapters of the book.
Love sometimes feel like it fades away and sometimes it does.
Sometimes love isn't all gushie and sweetie but has become a norm in two peoples lives. They may not need to feel that gushie love stuff because their love has matured into a calming affect between them. Sometimes love dies due to losing respect for the other person or being afraid of abuse from the other person.

Does love fade? Certain types do (like passionate love)--for sure! But love doesn't have to fade, until the lovers do themselves.
Stories can live as long as humanity..
Death seems to be the only thing that lasts forever--if you don't believe in reincarnation.

The Cycles of Life.... It is a continuing circle of life and death. As
a circle has no end and no beginning. We see things in the perspective of life and love ending,in reality where life ends, another begins, when love ends, another begins.....
I believe the Earth to be a mirrored reflection of all that is in Heaven.. and in our spirits....which is eternal...once you see the whole picture and understand that your life is only a small part of it, faded love will become an opening to new love....so it continues!
Good Luck

When you say forever, that means something that is constantly there, something that you cannot take away. The one that stays forever is the Intelligence that made this universe. Incidentally, when you experience That energy, you will understand that it is an energy of pure love. So, That pure love is there forever!!!

This is an impossible question to answer. Because we can never get to "forever" to find out what lasts that long. And if it ever ends then it is not forever.

They say that nothing is for ever and even love fades away in time but why should we worry about it? Are we for ever?

Forever is never ending, infinity. No one on earth can grasp the consept of forever because they have never known forever. like space goes on forever, no human can grasp this because they have never known something to never end.
