H R mgt is related to how to understand men's psychology in an organisation and is something about how to channlise the human behaviour in attainig the organisation's common goal.
Personnel mgt is related to how to satisfy the working needs of employees. recruiting that what they want or what they dont want while working.
H R mgt is a wider term than personnel mgt.

HRM is currently used in the IT and ITeS industries.
