Babies aren't born with a fear of falling over - they don't generally have a sense of danger until they become more aware of their surroundings, their cognitive development is in progress, and they have received conditioning to fear such things from environment, social structures, and experience.

In terms of fearing loud sounds, it is more a case of it hurting a baby's little delicate ears than being a fear of potential outcomes linked to loud sounds.

What about the fear of being left alone,you must of seen how a baby cries when mummy leaves the room

not alway the case, my son as a baby used to find quite loud bass soothing... especially cypress hill, temples of boom

and he's never been afraid of falling over, he's like a little soldier - ready for anything :P

I agree with the loud sounds but babies would roll over if you sat them up unaided so why would you have a fear of it, surly that's something that develops along with your ability to stand up.

If only that were true.You cannot be serious, surely. I think we are born with a few more 'fears' than that!

arn't we born with only a death drive and sex drive. that what the Id is in freud's psychoanaltic theory. thogh it's just a theory right.
